On December 2, 2019, a Los Angeles Jury awarded $50 million in punitive damages to Ms. Khan. A week earlier that same jury awarded Ms. Khan $8,250,000 in compensatory damages against Alki David, a billionaire.  The jury found that Mr. David acted with malice when he battered, sexually battered and sexually harassed Ms. Khan, a former production assistant who worked for several of his companies.

The verdict may be the largest ever recorded in the United States for one sexual harassment victim.

Nathan Goldberg, a founding partner of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg, was lead trial counsel in this historic case.

Gloria Allred, another of Ms. Khan’s attorneys, believes that this verdict sends a strong message to employers who sexually harass their employees that there will be accountability and severe consequences for their actions.

Ms. Khan testified in her lawsuit that David inappropriately groped her and thrust his pelvis into her face on multiple occasions.

Alki David is the heir to a Greek Coca-Cola bottling fortune and also heads up several media firms.
