Aaron J. Arenas was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He spent his early childhood growing up near the heart of the city before moving west, near Katy, Texas. After graduating from high school, he attended Sam Houston State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After working a few years at a large software engineering company, Mr. Arenas attended South Texas College of Law where he graduated cum laude.

During law school, Mr. Arenas participated in South Texas College of Law’s trial advocacy program and was the South Texas College of Law Intramural Mock Trial Champion in 2015. Mr. Arenas was also a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the highest grade in the class on four separate occasions for his studies in contract law, property law, energy transaction law, and Texas oil & gas land title. Mr. Arenas worked closely with the late Dean T. Gerald Treece as a Langdell Scholar where he tutored first year law students in tort law.

After law school, Mr. Arenas worked for a prominent Texas trial attorney and former National President of the American Board of Trial Advocates, where he gained extensive litigation and appellate experience. Mr. Arenas has advocated for plaintiffs in numerous jury trials in Texas. Mr. Arenas has also successfully presented oral argument in the 5th District Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas, and authored and/or co-authored numerous appellate briefs in various appellate courts throughout Texas.

Aaron is married to his wife Marcy. They have two beautiful children, Emma and Benjamin. They have two crazy dogs (Boxers) named Zero and Kaya. Aaron is an avid sports fan, rooting for the Houston Astros, the Houston Rockets, and the Green Bay Packers.
