Alex Reed grew up in St. Tammany Parish and graduated from Northlake Christian High School. Alex earned his Juris Doctorate from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2016. Prior to joining the Law Office of Ross F. Lagarde, APLC, Alex practiced in Lake Charles, focusing on the areas of civil litigation, business litigation, family law, and white collar criminal defense.
Alex has been recognized as one of the top-rated civil litigation young attorneys in Louisiana when he was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2020 and 2021. He was also featured in the Acadiana Profile Magazine Top Lawyers in 2018 and 2020.
Alex currently serves as a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates. He is a former President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. He also served as Treasurer of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association Family Law Section, was an At-Large Member of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association Executive Council, performed as an At-Large Member of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Foundation, and participated in the 2017-2018 LSBA Leadership Class.
Alex has been married to his high school sweetheart, Katie Annessa Reed, since 2014. When he is not working, Alex enjoys spending time with his two sons, kayak fishing, and supporting the LSU Tigers.
