Alexis Fernandez focuses her practice on the representation of healthcare providers in complex litigation matters, class actions, antitrust violations, consumer protection and product liability litigation cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
Prior to her legal career, Alexis served as the executive producer of a daily live legal television show. While telling untold stories of people who were disenfranchised, vulnerable, or oppressed, she helped shine the light on injustice and inequality. Whether investigating the wrongful death of a mother or exposing a financial giant for predatory lending, Alexis quickly learned that the law was critical for upholding a true and just democracy.
Alexis is a Miami, Florida native. She obtained her B.A. degree magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Florida International University. She then received her J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law, also graduating magna cum laude and valedictorian. While at St. Thomas University School of Law, Alexis received five C.A.L.I. Excellence Awards, and received a Merit Scholarship. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Peter Lopez for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
Alexis has had her membership with the Florida Bar since 2018. She was also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Middle, Southern District of Florida, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States District Court – Eastern Michigan District.
