Anne Accettella is an associate who practices with the environmental law group at Douglas and London. At present, her practice is focused on representing states, municipalities, and individuals harmed by perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Ms. Accettella earned her J.D. at Brooklyn Law School where she was an Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and the recipient of the Richardson Scholarship, the Dean’s Merit Award, the Humphrey’s Family Opportunity Prize and the Pro Bono Service Award. During her time at Brooklyn Law, Ms. Accettella served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Ramon E. Reyes Jr. in the Eastern District of New York and pursued her interest in advancing economic justice through internships at the New York Legal Assistance Group and the Law Office of Ahmad Keshavarz where she represented victims of predatory lending and abusive debt collection practices.
Before joining Douglas and London, Ms. Accettella was a law clerk at The Burger Law Group in the City of Saratoga Springs, New York where she was raised. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Vermont. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Accettella had a career in Vermont government relations where she served as a legislative liaison for the Vermont State Employees’ Association and Voices for Vermont’s Children.
