Anthony L. Kozycki is a fiercely dedicated trial attorney with a passion for helping his clients through difficult times. Mr. Kozycki focuses his practice on criminal defense and complex immigration matters.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Kozycki gained extensive experience in the public sector operating within various levels of government, both at the federal and state level. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Kozycki flew fighter jets for the United States Navy. During his naval service, Mr. Kozycki completed three combat deployments as a front-line combat aviator. As an officer in the United States Navy, Mr. Kozycki also supported his sailors as they went through various forms of military disciplinary proceedings. During his military career, Mr. Kozycki participated in both non-judicial punishment (NJP) and the more formal Court Martial proceedings under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Next, hoping to learn the complexities of immigration law, Mr. Kozycki interned for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). While with ICE, Tony worked in the Office of Chief Counsel (OCC), Litigation Division. With OCC, Tony worked daily in the Atlanta Immigration Court and actively participated in both removal proceedings and appellate work with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

Following his time with ICE, Tony began working in the Georgia Public Defender Council’s Office of the Capital Defender. The Capital Defender’s Office is charged with providing defense to Georgians charged with capital crimes for which the State of Georgia seeks to impose the death penalty. During his time with the Capital Defender’s Office, Tony worked on cases both at the trial and appellate levels.

Finally, prior to stepping into private practice, Tony worked at the Dekalb County Public Defenders Office. While in Dekalb, Tony represented clients charged with felony offenses and gained valuable experience working daily in various stages of criminal proceedings.
