Art graduated from Thomas More College in Merrimack, NH in 1991 with a B.A. in Philosophy, and graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1995. He was admitted to practice in all New York State Courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York in 1996. He was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Vermont in 1998. He was admitted to practice before the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals in 2010.
Art's practice focuses primarily on Criminal Defense and Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice. He has practiced in Courts from Lake George to Poughkeepsie, and as far west as Utica. He has handled all types of criminal cases, from murder to jaywalking, and everything in between. He has also handled a variety of injury cases, from automobile accidents to dog bites to slip-and-fall to medical malpractice. In addition to being a partner in Frost & Kavanaugh, Art is an Assistant Public Defender for Rensselaer County.
Art is a lifelong resident of Rensselaer County, and he and his wife and kids currently reside in Poestenkill. He is active in his church and area youth sports, coaching baseball and soccer.
