Bret focuses on criminal, traffic and DUI defense and ensuring that my clients receive the advice they need and the rights to which they are entitled. He appears most frequently in Northern Virginia courts, and also has experience practicing in Washington D.C. and the federal district courts in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland. Bret represents clients in a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor cases, ranging from traffic matters such as reckless driving and DUIs to major felony charges such as possession of drugs, conspiracies, assault, fraud, and sexual battery.
Bret's work for clients has also involved extensive appellate brief writing and a vigorous motions practice, including motions to suppress evidence, motions for bond, motions for discovery, and other motions for relief in federal and state prosecutions. Before going into private practice, Mr. Lee was a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Watkins in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Bret is an active member of the bar of Virginia and of the District of Columbia.
