Chayce is a passionate and dedicated lawyer with years of experience advocating for others. Prior to law school, Chayce graduated summa cum laude with honors from Drake University, where she earned a Bachelor degree in Political Science and Philosophy. She remained engaged in the fight for justice throughout her undergraduate education by working as a clerk in the Iowa House of Representatives.
Chayce attended law school at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. While a student attorney with the Georgetown Civil Rights Clinic, Chayce fought tirelessly to restore dignity to her clients. She continued to hone her skills as a legal intern for the Honorable Judge Robert Rigsby of D.C. Superior Court. As a student, Chayce demonstrated her commitment to equality as the Notes Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal of Modern Critical Race Perspectives, a researcher for the Justice Collaborative, a graduate of the Human Rights Associates Program, and a mentor for the Women’s Legal Alliance.
Chayce is delighted to return to Iowa, where she is licensed, as a member of the Trial Lawyers for Justice team. She and her husband – along with their cat and two dogs – now call Des Moines home. In her spare time, Chayce enjoys running, traveling, hiking, and reading nonfiction.
