As an experienced attorney with years of experience in State and Federal Court, her previous litigation experience allows her to negotiate complex agreements for both Fortune 500 Companies and individual clients with various federal legal issues such as Social Security disability and Federal and State government employment discrimination. She additionally drafts and provides risk analysis for multi-million-dollar procurement agreements, Third Party Commercial Enterprise Agreements, Non-Compete, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Privacy and Telecommunications Agreements.
Previously, she also worked as a Senior Attorney for the Department of Children and Families, an Assistant Public Defender and as an associate at private law firms. As a Senior Attorney at the Department of Children and Families, she prosecuted parents accused of abuse and/or neglect of their children, granted probable cause for removal of children from the home, determined whether the children should be adjudicated dependent, and whether the Department should work with the parents to remedy the cause of the child coming into state care or file a petition to terminate the parent’s rights over the child while maintaining an active caseload of approximately 70-80 cases that required constant attention. At the Public Defender’s Office, she represented approximately 100-140 clients at any given time, on any given day which made her a skilled negotiator, investigator and litigator. She is well regarded by her peers based on her motion practice and trial advocacy through hundreds of carefully drafted motions and oral arguments including child hearsay motions, Motions to Suppress, Dismiss and Summary Judgment. She has tried approximately 30 cases to verdict such as several charges of DUI, domestic battery, attempted murder, armed robbery, drug trafficking, and capital sexual battery, She has argued hundreds of motions and deposed thousands of witnesses in hundreds of cases.
