Attorney Clayton Schaeffer is a partner at the law firm McMichael, Logan, Schaeffer, & Gilpin in Kirkwood, MO where he represents Plaintiffs throughout Missouri. Much of his practice is dedicated to representing individuals in employment law matters including but not limited to employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and class action wage and hour violations. Many of these matters are litigated in the federal courts of Missouri and Illinois. Additionally, he maintains a small caseload of personal injury matters in which serious injury occurred. Mr. Schaeffer has been successful in state and federal court at the trial level through the appellate level. Mr. Schaeffer is a St. Louis area native. After high school at Priory, he received an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton. After law school and before private practice, Mr. Schaeffer worked in house in the steel manufacturing industry, which provided him with a unique and experienced perspective on the matters which he handles today. Mr. Schaeffer is an active member of various groups including the National Employment Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
When Clay is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Maddie and his dog Rockefeller. When not spending time with them, you can probably find him at a Billikens game or a Cardinals game, or at one of his favorite local breweries such as Center Ice, Modern, and Schlafly.
