Clayton Schaeffer oversees Weigl Law’s employment law practice group. Clay is a distinguished attorney specializing in employment law and complex litigation. With a strong commitment to advocating for justice, Clay brings extensive expertise and a proven track record to his practice.
Clay earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he studied in the Honors College and learned foundational principles of critical thinking. He then matriculated to the University of Dayton as a Dean’s Scholar from which he earned a Juris Doctor degree over a decade ago.
Prior to joining Weigl Law, Clay worked in house at an international manufacturing company, then transitioned to a Plaintiff-focused practice in 2016, most recently as the managing partner for the law
firm McMichael, Logan, Schaeffer, & Gilpin until the retirements of his former law partners. While there, he helped achieve many notable outcomes including multiple six figure and seven figure settlements and judgments.
Clay’s practice is marked by his involvement in several prominent legal organizations, including the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and the American Association for Justice. His affiliations with these organizations reflect his dedication to advancing the rights of individuals and ensuring fair representation in complex legal matters.
