Dale J. Montpelier Sr. was born and raised in Rouses Point, New York. He attended Syracuse University for his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, and San Diego State where he received his Master of Business Administration Degree. He got his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego California in 1994 where he graduated second in his class and was an editor of their International Law Review.
Mr. Montpelier is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, California, New York, and was a licensed Foreign Law Consultant in Vietnam.
Mr. Montpelier moved to Tennessee in 1994 and has been practicing Business, Collections, Employment, and Unemployment Law.
Mr. Montpelier was honorably discharged from U.S. Naval Reserve, in which he served from 1987-1998.
In December 2022, Mr. Montpelier created the non-profit Domestic Advocacy Group, Inc. which helps those who have been abused.
When not working Mr. Montpelier likes to spend time with his kangaroos Kira and Jack and his wallaby Wally. He also is on the Board of Directors for Strength for Service, and the Boy Scouts of America, Great Smoky Mountain Council, as well as being a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary member.
