David began his legal career as a paralegal for a major national law firm in its FIBRE (financial institutions, banking and real estate) division, working on construction lending and affordable housing transactions. During law school, he interned with the esteemed Bronx Supreme Court Justice Hon. Caesar D. Cirigliano, former attorney in charge of the Legal Aid Society. David was a litigation associate with Meringolo & Associates, P.C., a boutique firm in Manhattan, practicing high-profile criminal defense and civil litigation, where he defended federal RICO and drug trafficking cases as well as complicated civil matters. David founded The Law Office of David DeStefano, PLLC in 2012, and represents a diverse client base spanning from those accused of murder to those launching small businesses. In addition, he represents clients in SEC investigations and defends businesses in cases brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
