David Sirotkin plays an integral role in Morelli Law Firm's most complex and high-profile cases, working closely with Mr. Morelli to achieve impressive results for their clients. Since joining the firm, David has been an integral member of trial teams that have secured over $160 million in jury verdicts for clients, and he has helped resolve many of the firm's other large cases.
David served as lead associate on the firm's representation of actor/comedian Tracy Morgan against Wal-Mart. He also served as the lead associate in the firm's representation of numerous victims injured in the May 12, 2015 Amtrak train derailment, which was the largest train accident and settlement for a train accident in U.S. history. In addition, David is intricately involved in many of the firm's mass tort litigations including matters regarding talcum powder, IVC filters, Testosterone Replacement Therapy products and Propecia.
David's legal prowess is recognized throughout the industry. He has been selected to the New York Super Lawyers' Rising Stars list from 2016-2018. He was also named this year as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers. His victories and casework have been cited in numerous outlets, such as the New York Law Journal, Reuters, Law.com, NJ.com, and Law360.
David is admitted to practice law in the courts of the states of New York and New Jersey, federal courts in the Eastern, Southern, and Northern districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. He graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University in 2007 and from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2010. David has authored published articles both during law school and during his professional career, and one of his articles has been taught as part of a law school curriculum.
He lives in New York City with his wife, Jordana, who is also an attorney, and their son, Dylan.
