David Madison Tidmore received a B.S. in Human Resources Management from the University of Alabama in 1978 and an MBA from Samford University in 1983. He received his law degree from Birmingham School of Law in 1988. He is currently admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama and before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.
Mr. Tidmore brings a unique perspective to litigation, having served as a human resources and manufacturing executive for several years prior to entering the practice of law. He was also a special studies instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham lecturing in employment law, including workplace discrimination, injury and wrongful termination.
Mr. Tidmore concentrates his practice in the areas of wrongful death, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, product liability, pharmaceutical drug litigation, and employment law, specifically workplace injury, workers’ compensation, and retaliatory discharge. He is also co-author of a book titled Personal Injury Law: An Overview for Alabama Accident Victims which was published in 2010.
In 2011 Mr. Tidmore was selected for inclusion on the Alabama Super Lawyers list published in Alabama Super Lawyers magazine and Business Alabama. Only the top five percent of Alabama attorneys are chosen for this recognition each year.
Recent large jury verdicts and settlements include cases involving death or serious injury due to motor vehicles accidents. Mr. Tidmore has also successfully litigated retaliatory discharge cases where injured employees were fired after they filed for workers’ compensation benefits to which they were legally entitled.
Mr. Tidmore is a member of the Alabama, Shelby County and Birmingham Bar Associations, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
