Attorney Dwayne L. Brown always puts his clients first, working hard to build a strong attorney-client relationship that’s based on trust and that produces real results. By effectively and expertly managing each case and giving clients the attention and interaction they deserve, Brown has earned a stellar reputation for client satisfaction and collected millions of dollars in compensation for his many clients from all over Alabama and throughout the United States.

Brown received his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1994 and was admitted to the practice of law in September 1994. After practicing for several years with a national plaintiff’s law firm, Brown took the vast knowledge gained there and began his solo law practice in 1998.

Today, his firm is nationally recognized as one that is small, yet aggressive and tirelessly committed to upholding the rights of and seeking justice for those who are injured or are victims of wrongful death by negligence; he represents plaintiffs in lawsuits arising from car accidents, truck accidents, medical malpractice and insurance fraud as well as assisting injured employees with workers’ compensation claims. Brown also serves clients who need criminal defense representation in both felony and misdemeanor cases, as well as those who require business and corporate law services including civil litigation, employment law, procurement, contracts, corporate governance and formation and more.

Brown’s career recently hit a high mark when he received a Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent Rating, an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada. The AV Preeminent Rating is a significant accomplishment, a testament to the fact that a Brown’s peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence.

Brown is a member of the exclusive Million Dollar Advocates Forum. In order to be considered for membership to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum an attorney must have won million dollar verdicts and settlements. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members so it is an honor to be included in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Brown is also proud to be affiliated with The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the preeminent organization in the United States advancing the mission of the nation’s criminal defense lawyers to ensure justice and due process for persons accused of crime or other misconduct. NACDL’s 10,000-plus direct members in 28 countries, as well as its 90 state, provincial and local affiliate organizations totaling more than 40,000 attorneys, are all committed to preserving fairness within America’s criminal justice system.

Brown is admitted to practice before all Alabama state courts; the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama; Superior and State Courts of Georgia; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Brown is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the largest and most influential attorney organization in the world. Brown currently holds law licenses in the states of Georgia and Alabama. He has successfully argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the highest federal court for the states of Alabama, Florida and Georgia. And brown has shared his expertise, lecturing other attorneys on how to successfully litigate auto accident cases.

Brown’s diverse capabilities are clearly evident when it comes to working with juries. True jury experience is a valuable commodity in the courtroom, one that is becoming harder to find these days. Few attorneys have the depth of knowledge and understanding that Brown possesses concerning juries and how they function.
