Ms. Bertini earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance at the University of Iowa in 2005. She obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, her hometown. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Bertini became an Assistant State’s Attorney for DuPage County, Illinois and spent the next eight years prosecuting cases in both criminal and family law. She prosecuted cases involving child support enforcement, child abuse and neglect, misdemeanor, and felony criminal cases. In 2018, Ms. Bertini made the move to Colorado Springs and became a Deputy District Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District. She spent the next three years prosecuting criminal cases such as robberies, thefts, murders, domestic violence related offenses, and DUIs for El Paso and Teller Counties.
In her career, Ms. Bertini has led over 100 trials and hearings and has a strong courtroom presence. Erica believes that her time as a Deputy District Attorney helped her to gain the knowledge needed to negotiate the best possible scenario for her clients. She is eager to join the world of private practice to advocate for her clients in both criminal and family law issues.
In her spare time, Erica enjoys taking yoga classes, hiking, and exploring all of the things Colorado has to offer.
