Attorney Erika S. Julien has dedicated her entire career to the criminal justice system. She is a fearless and passionate defender of our U.S. Constitutional rights both inside and outside of the courtroom.
Due to her high level of expertise, Ms. Julien additionally instructs our upcoming generations of law students and criminal justice majors as an Adjunct Professor for Wayne State University Law School and Eastern Michigan University. In demand, she also serves as a lead coach for the highly accredited Wayne Law TYLA mock trial national team to some of the most outstanding students and aspiring trial lawyers in the state.
Ms. Julien has further dedicated substantial time to our legal and local communities, having served terms on the State Bar of Michigan Standing Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence and Practice; the State Bar of Michigan Criminal Law Section Council; as president of Criminal Defense Lawyers of Washtenaw County; and as founding president of the non-profit Washtenaw County/EMU Legal Resource Center.
She also served extensive terms on the Washtenaw County Bar Association board of directors and was honored to receive the association's first-ever Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. Due to her demonstrated and long-term community leadership role, and her unwavering commitment to justice, education, and leadership, Ms. Julien has continued to remain one of the most awarded lawyers in her community.
