Hampton has always had a passion for helping those who were going through some of their toughest moments due to serious injuries caused by no fault of their own. He focuses on treating his clients like family, helping them understand all aspects of their claim, working hard and winning. Whether by trial or by agreement, he fights to get his clients lives back on track by seeking justice. He has represented injured people against insurance companies in virtually all types of personal injury cases. His practice areas include representing victims of trucking collisions, automobile accidents, drunk driving collisions, workers’ compensation cases, premises liability, dog bites, defective products and various other torts. He is licensed to practice law in the states of South Carolina and North Carolina.

Born in Columbia, SC, where he attended Dutch Fork High School, he received his undergraduate degree from Presbyterian College cum laude. At Presbyterian College, he played football and was elected as a permanent captain by his teammates. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 2007. After law school, he was selected to serve a one-year judicial clerkship under South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Kenneth G. Goode in Winnsboro, SC.

Following his judicial clerkship, he went to work at a prominent South Carolina injury firm in 2008 where he gained considerable experience representing individuals who were injured through no fault of their own. He put his courtroom training and experience to work for his clients, representing over 1500 clients and collecting over $25 Million dollars on their behalf during that time. He is frequently sought out as lead co-counsel by other lawyers who need assistance with helping their clients achieve full justice.

He was selected to join an invitation-only, nationwide group known as the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA has a membership of less than 7,500 lawyers in the entire United States, equally divided between Plaintiff and Defense. He is recognized as an AV Preeminent © Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available. He was recently selected to join the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 for Civil-Plaintiff.

He is a current member of the South Carolina Bar Association, South Carolina Associates for Justice, North Carolina Associates for Justice, Richland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is a current member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Jessica, have two children, Addison and Hampton. When not working on behalf of clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on the Gamecocks, hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors.
