Jeff Heck
Roberts & Roberts - Tyler
Tyler,
 TX

Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Roberts & Roberts and the firm’s clients. In over 30 years of practicing law, Jeff has litigated personal injury matters across the state of Texas involving wrongful deaths, 18-wheeler accidents, automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, workplace injuries, construction accidents, oilfield accidents, premises liability, and defective products. In addition to representing injured individuals, Jeff has experience litigating complex oil and gas related matters, business disputes, and construction defect claims. Having been a professional firefighter prior to law school, Jeff brings to the table a “blue-collar toughness” when fighting to protect his client’s interests. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in the State of Texas including the Texas Supreme Court, Federal courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jeff is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section, and the Smith County Bar Association. He has also attended the world-renowned Lanier Trial Academy Master Class. Jeff received his B.A. in education from a small private college in Missouri in 1984, after which he became a firefighter for the City of Tyler. At age 29, after getting married and starting a family, Jeff decided to further his education by leaving the fire department and attending Baylor Law School. While attending Baylor Law School, Jeff was named a “Top 10” speaker in the annual moot court competition. Baylor’s famous practice court was like a boot camp for litigators, so when Jeff graduated from law school in 1994, he was fully prepared to handle all aspects of a lawsuit. While Jeff wasn’t born in Texas, he likes to say, “I got here as quick as I could.” His wife Tammy was born in Tyler and has lived in this area her entire life except for a few years of college, where they met. Jeff and Tammy moved to Tyler together in 1985 and have been in East Texas since then. They have three sons together that have all turned out to be great men in their own regard. For over 20 years, Jeff coached their sons in basketball and for almost 15 years he was a high school basketball official. After living here and traveling around the great State of Texas for almost 40 years, Jeff jokingly says he hopes he has met the unwritten requirements for becoming a Texan. As Jeff likes to say, “It really is true, there is no place like Texas, and I love living here.”
