Jennifer Dinetz is an experienced trial attorney focusing her practice on representing clients and their families who have suffered catastrophic injuries or wrongful death as a result of an automobile accident, truck accident, premises liability, product defects, negligent road design, electrocutions, workplace injuries, and negligent security.

Some of the notable cases involved earning a $4.9 Million Verdict for a Single Mother injured in a Rear-end Crash. The young mother suffered severe injuries which prevented her from caring for her young child.

In another case, Jennifer and partner Mark Clark were retained to pursue a Liquor Liability case against the restaurant bar establishment that served alcoholic beverages to the at-fault driver before the crash. The case was filed in both state and federal court due to the complexity of the liquor liability laws and insurance coverage issues involved in the case.

Prior to joining Clark Fountain, Jennifer served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County for four years, where she developed significant trial experience and motion practice, participating in more than 80 trials, many of which were felony cases.

As the chief attorney for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission criminal matters, Jennifer prosecuted cases stemming from commercial fishing violations, use of unlawful traps, and the illegal sale or possession of Florida wildlife, including a notable case where a Jupiter man threw an alligator through a Wendy’s drive-thru window.

Outside of her litigation practice, Jennifer invests her time in the growth and success of our local and legal communities throughout Palm Beach County. Jennifer is a current Board Member of the PBC Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section, member of the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Justice Association, a member of the Craig S. Barnard Inns of Court, and the Treasurer of the Palm Beach County chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL).

For two consecutive years, Jennifer has been selected by her peers for the “Ones to Watch” list by the Best Lawyers of America. Jennifer has also been named to “Top 40 Under 40” by National Trial Lawyers, and “Rising Star” by the Florida Super Lawyers.

Before joining our firm, Jennifer worked at a South Florida civil litigation law firm where she practiced in complex civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, civil forfeitures, and defense insurance coverage. Her background in prosecution and defense work provides her with the unique ability to approach a case from both sides of the courtroom and maximize the value of her client’s cases.

Legal Victories

Firm Obtains $4.9 Million Verdict for Single Mother Injured in Rear-End Crash

Attorneys Shana P. Nogues and Jennifer A. Dinetz, and partner Nancy La Vista, successfully secured a $4.98 million verdict for their deserving client, Jennie Pagan, who suffered significant injuries as a result of a rear-end collision accident.

Ms. Pagan was on her way to work in her Honda Accord when she was stopped in traffic. Unfortunately, the defendant driver of a Ford F-550 truck crashed into her from behind. The sudden impact resulted in a painful C5-6 disc herniation in her neck. The injury required Jennie to undergo physical therapy, pain management treatment, and ultimately necessitated cervical disc replacement surgery.

While the defendant admitted fault for rear-ending Ms. Pagan and admitted that she did, in fact, sustain “some” injuries, the Driver and his Insurance Company, Progressive, refused to accept that she was permanently injured, or that her life-changing surgery was caused by the crash.

Ms. Pagan incurred about $186,000 in medical expenses and is expected to require future medical treatment.

In trial, Ms. Nogues and Ms. Dinetz proved that Ms. Pagan suffered a permanent injury. They focused on the extensive medical treatment and therapy she underwent in her effort to get better. They highlighted the immense pain and suffering, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life that Ms. Pagan has suffered and will continue to endure for the rest of her life, and how those injuries sidelined this single mother from being able to fully participate in life with her young daughter.

By taking the time to understand the full scope of how this accident and injuries impacted our 43-year-old client, attorneys Shana P. Nogues, Jennifer A. Dinetz, and Nancy La Vista were able to convince a Broward county jury to fully compensate Jennie Pagan for all that she has suffered and will continue to suffer into the future.

Client Suffers Amputation of Arm in Vehicle Rollover Crash

Firm client was a passenger in a vehicle that lost control and rolled over resulting in the traumatic amputation of her arm. The driver of the vehicle was charged and ultimately convicted of DUI causing serious bodily injury.

Mark W. Clark and Jennifer A. Dinetz were retained to pursue a Liquor Liability case against the restaurant bar establishment that served alcoholic beverages to the at-fault driver before the crash.

The case was filed in both state and federal court due to the complexity of the liquor liability laws and insurance coverage issues involved in the case. The lawsuit alleged that the restaurant bar knowingly served alcoholic beverages to a person habitually addicted to alcohol that resulted in the subject crash.

Despite the legal challenges, Clark and Dinetz were able to establish that there was liquor liability coverage for the claim and they were able to secure key testimony from employees of the restaurant bar in order to establish that the bartender knowingly served a habitual alcoholic before the crash. Ultimately, after the lengthy legal battle a confidential settlement was reached with the restaurant bar establishment that provides financial security for the client for the devastating loss of her dominant arm.

Four Year Battle Results in Multi-Party Confidential Settlement for Wrongful Death of Only Child

Attorneys Mark W. Clark, Michael S. Smith, and Jennifer A. Dinetz brought a wrongful death case against twelve corporate defendants, involving the general contractor, subcontractors and the owner/developer, on behalf of a mother and father whose only child was killed in a violent construction site accident. The case involved an epic battle in both State and Federal Court establishing liability, resolving damages between the defendants and resolving coverage disputes among the parties.

Due to the complexity of the case it was necessary to retain accident reconstruction, metallurgist, and construction safety experts to analyze the physical evidence from the scene, extensive construction documents, and deposition testimony of corporate representatives, supervisors and construction workers involved in the project.

Ultimately, after a four-year battle, a confidential global settlement was reached on behalf of the estate and surviving parents, holding the at-fault parties accountable for the tragic, violent, and preventable death of their son.

Defective Equipment & Negligent Training of Staff Leads to Tragic Death

Partner Mark W. Clark and Attorney Jennifer Lettman filed a wrongful death suit against a health club alleging that defective equipment and the negligent training of staff lead to the shocking and tragic death of one of its members.

The decedent was survived by their spouse and two children. After extensive discovery was conducted, Clark and Lettman reached a confidential settlement with the health club to help compensate the survivors for their unthinkable loss.
