Joe earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 2007. While attending Texas A&M, he studied abroad at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where he studied Spanish Language and International Studies. In 2010, Joe received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law–Houston. He also studied abroad during law school, attending National University of Ireland at Galway where he studied international humanitarian law.
Prior to graduating from law school, Joe contracted with the United States Marine Corps to serve as a Judge Advocate. He graduated from the USMC Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia, where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in August 2010.
After passing the Texas Bar Exam in 2011, Joe and his family moved back to Quantico to serve as an intern in civil law while waiting to attend The Basic School, a six- month Marine Officer training course. After graduating from The Basic School, he received orders to Marine Corps Air Station New River where he did a stint as an assistant defense attorney. He went on to attend the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island, where he was promoted to First Lieutenant. After graduating from that course, Joe received orders to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune where he initially served as a legal assistance attorney and was eventually promoted to the rank of Captain.
As a legal assistance attorney, Joe represented hundreds of clients with various legal issues that includes separation and divorce, child custody disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, real estate transactions, estate planning, and contract disputes. After completing his billet in Legal Assistance, Joe was transferred to the Defense Services Organization to serve as a criminal defense attorney. In that role, he represented over sixty Marines and Sailors facing criminal prosecution and/or involuntary administrative separation processing. Joe represented clients facing a myriad of criminal charges to include sexual assault, sexual harassment, murder, larceny, battery, hazing, drug charges, and various other crimes.
Upon completing his active duty tour, Joe returned to Houston and started his own firm. However, within a few months, he was recruited to manage the Houston office for one of Texas’s best personal injury law firms. After only a few years with the firm, Joe was eventually promoted to partner due to the many successes he’d achieved on behalf of his clients through settlements and trials.
In 2021, Joe decided to once again follow his dream by starting his own law firm–Joe Jones Law Firm. Joe is proud to advocate for those who were injured or killed due to the negligence and irresponsible acts of others. Joe’s mission is simple: to relentlessly fight for his clients in order to obtain every bit of justice that they deserve.
When he is not working, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Chrysa, and their three children, Ellie, Everett, and Juliet. He relaxes and recharges by watching Texas A&M and Houston sports teams, playing guitar, and skiing.
