Johnny practices in the Finkel Law Firm's North Charleston office in the litigation department. Johnny has tried cases throughout the state of South Carolina, representing individuals, local municipalities, and large multinational corporations in actions involving Motor Vehicle Collisions, Premises Liability, and Medical Malpractice. Regardless of the type of case, Johnny has always focused on communicating with clients and delivering results for their complex and unique legal needs.
Prior to joining the Finkel Law Firm, Johnny was a trial attorney at one of the largest personal injury law firms in the state, representing hundreds of individuals in personal injury lawsuits. Johnny has also worked as an insurance defense lawyer for the largest insurance companies in the State of South Carolina, representing trucking companies, chain restaurants, and local hospital systems in a variety of lawsuits.
Johnny attended the Charleston School of Law, where he was named best oral advocate in the Charleston School of Law’s moot court and trial advocacy competitions. Additionally, Johnny received the award for “Advocate of the Year” in 2016. Johnny was also able to serve as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Justice Kaye G. Hearn of the South Carolina Supreme Court, where he received a wealth of knowledge and exposure to different areas of the law. As a Nashville Native, Johnny had the privilege of going to the University of Tennessee, where he received a B.A. in political science.
When not at the office, Johnny enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Julie Beeks Stewart, who works as a public defender in Dorchester County. In addition to spending time with his wife, Johnny enjoys reading, listening to, and watching anything involving the Tennessee Volunteers
