Kasi Wautlet is an Associate at Sanford Heisler Sharp.

At Sanford Heisler Sharp, Kasi’s practice has focused on employment discrimination, public interest litigation, and complex civil litigation.

Kasi received her law degree cum laude from New York University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Arizona State University. Before attending law school, Kasi taught middle-school science and worked as a program manager for an education nonprofit. While at NYU Law, Kasi was an Ehrenkranz Scholar and Robert McKay Scholar. She served as a Managing Editor for the New York University Annual Survey of American Law. Kasi received the Seymour A. Levy Award for her note, titled Playlists as Endorsements: An Argument for Continued Payola Regulation in the Internet Age, which was published in the Annual Survey of American Law. Kasi also served as a board member and student advocate for the Suspension Representation Project, a member of First Generation Professionals and Law Women, a torts teaching assistant for Professor Mark Geistfeld, and a research assistant for Professor Helen Hershkoff. Kasi gained practical experience as a summer associate in Sanford Heisler Sharp's Nashville office and through externships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York and the Honorable Jeffrey S. Frensley, Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Kasi is a member of the Tennessee bar. She is also a member of the Lawyers’ Association for Women, Marion Griffin Chapter.

Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp, Kasi completed a clerkship for the Honorable Alistair E. Newbern, Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

When Kasi is not lawyering, she enjoys exploring Nashville’s greenways, gardening, and introducing her toddler to new foods at her neighborhood farmers market.
