Katherine Blinn is a driven, passionate, and persuasive criminal defense attorney who is dedicated to obtaining the best possible result for each of her clients.  Prior to joining the firm in November of 2023, Katherine spent over seven (7) years practicing felony criminal defense in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Gloucester County.  She brings a keen strategic approach coupled with an unmatched compassion for her clients to provide high-end legal representation.

Katherine graduated from Drexel University’s Kline School of Law.  While focusing her course studies on criminal litigation, she also participated in the trial advocacy program where she represented the school in national trial competitions.  During Law School, Katherine also dedicated herself to volunteer service, providing pro bono support to organizations like the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project.  In turn she gained a firsthand understanding of the real-life impacts that clients face when they are accused of crimes.  She ultimately was awarded the Pro Bono Excellence Award, having provided hundreds of hours of volunteer service during her time in law school.

After law school, Katherine completed a yearlong clerkship in the Burlington County Superior Court.  During that time, Katherine clerked for the Honorable Susan Claypoole (ret.) in the Criminal Division and then for the Honorable Guy Ryan in the Family Division, where she gained invaluable insight into the issues and dynamics involved in domestic cases.  She brings this knowledge and experience when litigating New Jersey Restraining Order matters.

Katherine went on to spend the next seven (7) years as a Public Defender in the Gloucester County Superior Court representing thousands of individuals accused of felony matters.  Her time as a Public Defender provided her with valuable trial experience as well as extensive practical knowledge of the criminal justice system.  As a public defender and private criminal defense attorney, Katherine has advocated for individuals accused of all types of felony offenses, including but not limited to aggravated assault, firearms offenses, drug possession and distribution charges, robbery, and homicide offenses.

Following her passion for criminal defense, Katherine has continued her education in the area of forensic science.  Part of that education includes attending the Bronx Defender Academy and the Cardozo School of Law National Forensic College to hone her trial skills and experience in defending cases involving forensic science evidence.  Due to her knowledge and legal acumen in this area of defense, Katherine has also been invited to teach courses on how to defend cases that involve forensic evidence such as Shotspotter (regularly seen in firearms cases in Camden City, Camden County) and toxicology in strict liability drug induced death homicide cases.

In the fall of 2023, Katherine was honored to be appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court’s District IV Ethics Committee for Camden and Gloucester Counties.

Outside of the office, Katherine enjoys the seasons and spending time outdoors.  She is an avid snowboarder, and in the warmer months she spends her time gardening, hiking, and paddleboarding.
