Katherine Memsic graduated on the Dean’s List from Butler University with a B.A. in Sociology where she received the Max Weber Award for Outstanding Performance. During her time as a Bulldog,
Katherine was involved in the Pre-Law Society and was President of the Women’s Club Lacrosse Team.
Following graduation from Butler, Katherine moved to Columbus to earn her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While at Ohio State, Katherine was President of the Sports and Education Law Society. She also served as the Production Editor for the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law and Social Chair for the Student Bar Association.
Katherine has spent her entire legal career fighting for the accused in criminal court. As a law student, Katherine worked as a law clerk for the Franklin County Public Defender and as a legal intern for two solo practitioners. Prior to joining Soroka & Associates, Katherine worked as an associate attorney focusing on criminal defense. In 2019, she joined the Franklin County Public Defender and worked in both the Municipal and Common Pleas Units. Katherine has a wealth of knowledge and experience, which has allowed her to effectively defend her clients and serve their interests both in and out of the courtroom. Katherine is incredibly passionate about protecting criminal defendants, no matter their situation.
Outside of the office, you can find Katherine spending time with her dog, Zeus, serving as an Alumni Trustee for her sorority, or watching her beloved Buckeyes beat That State Up North.
