Mary Bajo Coletta
Estey & Bomberger, LLP
San Diego,
 CA

An associate with Estey & Bomberger since 2011, Mary Bajo has represented clients injured on construction sites, in auto, motorcycle and bicycle collisions, by dangerous products in mass tort litigation, and from childhood sexual abuse.

Bajo’s emotional investment in her clients’ cases stems from her knee-deep involvement, seeing first-hand how the physical and emotional injuries affect clients and their families. “That said,” says Bajo, “the most rewarding part of my job is the positive impact I can have on one person’s life — never more so than in the case of a child.”

Bajo’s primary focus is on institutional child sexual abuse cases, meaning the child was under the care of a school, daycare, after-school program, or sports program at the time he or she was sexually abused. Due to her deep knowledge of, and passion for, the topic, she was asked to be a panelist at the 22nd International Summit on Violence, Abuse & Trauma, in a conference program entitled Sexual Solicitation, Misconduct, & Abuse of Students by School Personnel: Challenges, Resources & Recommendations.
