Matthew Konchel endeavors to practice law in a fashion that befits the noble Philadelphia trial lawyer tradition. “Our approach to the law is like old-school, iron-man football, when each player started both offense and defense. We litigate in both the civil and criminal courts and strive to dominate both venues.”
Originally hailing from Michigan’s Detroit area, Matthew served as a combat paratrooper with the U.S. Army’s “All-American” 82nd Airborne Division and then worked in the corporate sector before attending Temple Law School. Graduating in 1998, he stayed on as Temple Law School’s Director of Development and Alumni Relations before ultimately being recruited to manage the law firm of Kats, Jamison and Associates.
In civil practice, Matthew has aggressively and successfully represented clients in personal injury claims, contract disputes, business litigation, landlord/tenant matters, custody disputes and immigration deportation proceedings. He has represented parties in both residential and commercial real estate and business transactions in Pennsylvania, and on the criminal side, Matthew has handled matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey ranging from traffic violations and retail theft to drunk driving, drug crimes, assault, and juvenile and domestic violence offenses.
