North Carolina criminal defense attorney Megan Powell is dedicated to representing those facing criminal charges, Driving While Impaired (DWI), Driving Under the Influence (DUI), and traffic citations in Mecklenburg County. Megan also assists with domestic violence and family law cases at the firm.
Before joining the team as an associate attorney, Megan worked as a law clerk at Powers Law Firm, PA. During law school, Megan was an active member and competitor of the Trial Advocacy Honor Board, and worked as a legal intern at the Mecklenburg County Public Defender's Office and the United States Department of Justice - Charlotte Immigration Court.
Megan was born in Charlotte, NC and raised in Fort Mill, SC. She graduated from Fort Mill High School and attended Winthrop University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Megan graduated cum laude from The Charlotte School of Law and became a member of the North Carolina Bar in 2017.
When Megan is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, and supporting the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers.
