I have prepared myself to be an aggressive and dedicated criminal defense attorney since before law school. Before attending college, I followed my father and his father by joining the military and enlisted in the Army. After serving my country, I attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, graduating Summa Cum Laude and double majoring in English and Political Science. I then attended the Texas Tech School of Law on a full scholarship. While in law school, I received the American Jurisprudence Award which recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement in both Immigration Law and Public Health Law. In May of 2006, I graduated from law school with honors.
Shortly after opening my own practice in Lubbock with a focus on criminal defense, I accepted a position with the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Texas. From 2007 until 2013, I practiced exclusively in federal court representing clients charged with federal offenses ranging from theft of mail to multi-million dollar, white-collar fraud investigations. I have successfully represented clients in every aspect of a criminal case including detention hearings, probation and supervised release revocations, and trials. I have tried cases and won throughout the Northern and Western Districts of Texas which includes Amarillo, Lubbock, San Angelo, Abilene, Midland, Odessa, and Pecos and I regularly practice in front of Judges Robinson, Cummings, Solis, and Junell. These trials have covered immigration, firearm, drug, fraud, and sex offenses.
I have now opened King Law, P.C. The purpose of this firm is to provide aggressive, dedicated, and passionate criminal defense. Defending citizens charged with crimes is what I do and is who I am. If you or a loved one is facing a criminal investigation or has been charged with a crime, the most important asset you can have on your side is a criminal defense attorney dedicated to your defense and your Constitutional rights.
