Moksha Smith is an Associate Attorney at Magdalena Law Group. She assists clients with all of their family law needs, including but not limited to divorces, parentage actions, property division, child custody, child support, spousal support, and domestic violence restraining orders.
With over twenty five jury trials in domestic violence, sexual assault, battery, criminal threats, and other cases, Ms. Smith fights for her clients in the courtroom and behind the scenes. As a former Deputy District Attorney, Ms. Smith has extensive experience with domestic violence, restraining order, and substance abuse-related cases.
Ms. Smith was awarded her Juris Doctor Degree from Santa Clara School of Law. During law school, Ms. Smith competed on Trial Team and interned at multiple District Attorney’s Offices.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in India, Switzerland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Ms. Smith values diversity and cultural sensitivity. She completed her undergraduate studies at U.C. San Diego and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cognitive Neuroscience with Minors in Psychology and Biology. During college, Ms. Smith volunteered for two summers in New Orleans through Americorps working with children and serving underprivileged communities. She also assisted family law litigants with their divorce and custody matters through the California Superior Court County of San Diego Family Law Facilitator’s Office by volunteering with Americorps.
In her free time, Ms. Smith loves to travel and explore new cities. She also enjoys fashion and reviewing restaurants and events.
