A former insurance defense attorney, Nick knows what happens “behind closed doors” when it comes to the tactics used (and abused) by insurance carriers and their counsel. Nick leverages this experience to the advantage of his clients in maximizing their recovery under the law.
Prior to practicing law, Nick was a Board Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner serving on the frontlines of emergency rooms and critical care units. During this time, he also oversaw the operations and regulatory compliance of a series of cardiopulmonary diagnostic laboratories serving adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care settings. Nick capitalizes on the value of his medical knowledge when evaluating & litigating cases involving serious injuries and catastrophic damages.
Nick graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge, and Cum Laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was on the Editorial Board and Literary Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review.
Among several honors, Nick has received the Justice Lewis Powell Award in Oral Advocacy, a CALI Award for earning the top class grade in Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and was Regional Champion of the 2002 American College of Trial Lawyers National Trial Competition.
Nick is a member of The State Bar of California, The Florida Bar, the National Order of Barristers, and the Phi Delta Phi National Legal Honors Fraternity. He is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
In his spare time, Nick can be seen brandishing a sword with the Los Angeles Commandery of Knights Templar and performing Lead vocals and rhythm guitar with his classic rock band.
