Nolan Jensen was born and raised in Slinger, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Washington County in 2009, the University of Memphis in 2011, and Marquette University Law School in 2015. Nolan attended Law School on the Thomas More Scholarship (Merit-based). While in Law School, Nolan was invited to participate in the 2015 Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition, where he was a semi-finalist in oral argument and received one of the top brief scores. Also during this time, he was a judicial intern with the Milwaukee County Circuit Court: Felony Division. There he assisted a Judge in researching the law and writing bench memoranda regarding 4th and 5th Amendment issues. Related to these amendments, Nolan was recently mentioned by the Wisconsin Supreme Court for his brief submitted in State v. Scull, 2015 WI 22, 361 Wis. 2d 288, 862 N.W.2d 562 (2015). The decision in this case was published in both the state and regional reporters.
Nolan is active in the Waukesha County Bar Association, as a member of the Criminal, Juvenile, Family, and Young Lawyers Sections. He is also assisting with the Technology Committee to determine what new technology should be implemented when the Waukesha County Courthouse begins renovations in 2018. In his free time, Nolan is an avid basketball player, having played several years of college basketball. He returned to Marquette Law School to judge the National Moot Court Competition in 2016. He is also the past public relations board member of the Summit Young Professional organization through the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce.
