Hauppauge,
 NY

Mr. Roche began his legal career with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and was assigned to the District Court Bureau. He has prosecuted an array of misdemeanor offenses ranging from driving while intoxicated (DWI) to larcenies and drug offenses. He was quickly promoted to the Felony Division, where he prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor offenses. Additionally, he conducted grand jury presentations, interviewed and advised police officers, victims and witnesses in regard to case evaluation and assessment and took numerous cases to verdict. He has also conducted numerous hearings and trials and has directly managed over thousands of criminal cases. He has extensive experience in interpreting and applying laws, court decisions and other legal authorities.

A zealous advocate, Mr. Roche will not give up on any case. In a recent firearm possession case, where the district attorney was staunchly seeking to incarcerate the defendant, Mr. Roche's strong research and preparation skills enabled him to successfully make arguments that ultimately dismissed the charge and avoided incarceration and any criminal conviction.

Mr. Roche is admitted to the Bar of New York and is admitted to practice before the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has been a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York Public Defender's Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He is also an associate of the Council on Legal Education Opportunities (a Thurgood Marshall program).

He earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2009. At Hofstra, he participated in the E. Woycik Jr. Intensive Trial Techniques Program, which is in association with the National Institute of Trial Attorneys. Mr. Roche was a finalist in the Mock Trial Team Competition and received a three-year merit scholarship. He graduated magna cum laude with degrees in both Criminal Justice and African-American Studies at Temple University in Pennsylvania. He was recognized on the Dean's List, the National Dean's List and Golden Key International Honor Society. He graduated from St. Francis Preparatory High School with honors and was recognized as a "Who's Who Among American High School Students."
