Susan Salvetti

Ms. Salvetti has concentrated in litigation throughout her career, becoming a partner of Zwerling, Schachter on January 1, 1992. Ms. Salvetti has extensive experience in all phases of complex class action litigation, including trials and appellate arguments. Ms. Salvetti has negotiated complicated settlements in securities and consumer class actions.

Ms. Salvetti is currently involved in high profile antitrust cases involving claims of antitrust violations and/or deceptive trade practices, including: In re American Airlines/JetBlue Antitrust Litigation, E.D.N.Y., No. 1:22-cv-07374; In re Deere & Company Repair Services Antitrust Litigation, N.D. Ill., No. 3:22-cv-50188; and In re Juul Labs, Inc. Antitrust Litigation, N.D. Cal., No. 3:20-cv-02345.  

Ms. Salvetti has also played a major role in class actions, including: Billitteri v. Securities America, Inc., et al., N.D. Tex., Civ. No. 3:09-CV-01568-F (Provident Royalties Litigation), where she was a co-lead attorney, representing investors against numerous brokers in a class action involving an alleged nationwide Ponzi scheme, and In re Insurance Brokers Antitrust Litigation, D.N.J. MDL No. 1663 04-CV-5184 and 05-CV-5533, an antitrust class action involving over 100 defendants, which has resulted in settlements of over $200 million.

Ms. Salvetti represented investors in In re Lehman Brothers Equity/Debt Securities Litigation, 08 Civ. 5523; In re BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust Securities Litigation, W.D. Wash., No. C06-1505; Weikel v. Tower Semiconductor, Ltd., D.N.J., 96 CV 03711; In re Archer Daniels Midland Company Derivative Litigation, Del. Ch. Ct., Cons. C.A. No. 14403; and In re ICN/Viratek Securities Litigation, S.D.N.Y., 87 Civ. 4296. Ms. Salvetti played a major role as a member of the trial team in ICN/Viratek Securities Litigation, S.D.N.Y., 87 Civ. 4296, a securities fraud class action involving FDA non-approval of an HIV drug.
