Thomas Burns is a Trial Attorney and Team Leader of the Litigation Division at The Wallace Firm, PC, where he specializes in personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, premises liability, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, dog bites, and wrongful death cases. Although Mr. Burns spent a year practicing insurance defense, which helped him gain valuable insight into how defense attorneys and adjusters analyze and litigate cases, Mr. Burns has spent nearly all of this legal career representing individuals in personal injury and consumer protection matters. Mr. Burns has litigated countless personal injury matters involving severe and catastrophic injuries that have resulted in six and seven-figure settlements.
Mr. Burns attended the University of San Diego where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy. He then attended California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA, where he was a recipient of the school’s “Creative Problem Solving” Scholarship. While in law school, Mr. Burns interned at the Children’s Law Center of California, where he assisted in the representation of minors who had been detained from their parents for abuse or neglect. He also worked as a law clerk for a firm representing individuals in Americans with Disabilities Act claims.
Mr. Burns resides in Westlake Village, CA with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with his (very) large extended family, and cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Green Bay Packers.
