Tom joined Christensen Law as a seasoned trial lawyer with nearly two decades of experience of helping injured victims with an emphasis on automobile and trucking negligence, no-fault insurance, and child lead poisoning.
An experienced litigator, he approaches every case with a potential trial in mind, laying the groundwork in the early stages, and preparing for the jury and bench. He is particularly skilled in storytelling, developing the narrative and building on that with evidence and expert witnesses to deliver a compelling case for a jury to consider.
“Easily the best part of my job is getting a hug or a sincere thank-you from my client at the end of a hard-won case. Our clients have suffered terrible wrongs and serious injuries, so the ability to use my training and skills to help someone in desperate need is very rewarding. It’s what keeps me going every day.”
Tom received a bachelor’s degree (BA) in Political Science from the University of Michigan–Dearborn in 1996, attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from Michigan State University in 1999. He has spent nearly his entire career helping injured people with automobile negligence, no-fault insurance, and other personal injury litigation.
Prior to focusing on plaintiff PI, Tom worked briefly for a well-respected insurance defense firm. His experience as a defense attorney has provided him with valuable insight into how the “other side” views and handles personal injury cases. He is also a skilled appellate lawyer, having briefed and argued numerous cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals as well as the Michigan Supreme Court.
