
Joseph received his Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice and political science from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the Charleston School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Joseph graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and served as a state law enforcement agent with the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services in Charleston County. After gaining extensive experience within the criminal justice system as a law enforcement officer and having a strong passion for helping others in need, Joseph decided to further his career by obtaining his law degree. During law school, Joseph received the CALI award for excellence in Advanced Legal Research. Joseph was also a member of the Honor Council, served as co-editor-in-chief of the Maritime Law Bulletin, and completed over 300 hours of Pro Bono services.
