Zach Coufal has been practicing law in the State of Texas since 2016.
Growing up in Brenham, Texas, Zach graduated salutatorian from Burton High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in 3 years. Zach would go on to attend South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston, while also serving as an intern at a law firm in Brenham. Upon graduating from law school in May of 2016, Zach would go on to serve as an associate attorney and ultimately the chief of the appellate division at a local firm in Brenham. Zach joined Muery & Farrell, P.C. in September of 2021.
With a specialization in criminal defense, Zach has defended everything from speeding tickets to murder charges, both at the trial level and in intermediate appellate courts. Zach has a very unique approach to criminal defense, with a wealth of experience in multiple counties across the State of Texas, he prides himself in his advocacy, legal research and legal writing. Zach has also handled a myriad of non-criminal matters, including probate, consumer law, juvenile law, family law, expunctions, non-disclosures and CPS cases.
In 2021, Zach was selected as one of the National Trial Lawyers
"Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers" in Texas.
Zach currently resides in Travis County with his wife and two dogs.
