Adam S. Getson, Esquire is a Partner at the Law Firm of Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller, P.C. Mr. Getson joined Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller, P.C. as an Associate in April 2004 and has always focused his practice in plaintiffs’ Civil Trial Litigation. Over the years, Mr. Getson has successfully represented many injured victims in a variety of accidents, including automobile crashes, dog bites, product malfunctions, dram shop liability, slips/trips and falls, medical malpractice, construction site accidents and other personal injury matters. He has litigated many cases throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
In 2000, Mr. Getson earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and was named to the National Deans List of America. In 2002, Mr. Getson studied International Law at Australia’s prestigious University of Technology Sydney Law School. He received his Juris Doctor from Widener School of Law in 2003, where he was a graduate of the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.
Mr. Getson has been honored by Martindale-Hubbell as being rated “AV Preeminent”, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating, for his ethical standards and legal ability. From 2012 to 2018 Mr. Getson has been recognized by Thompson Legal in their Pennsylvania Super Lawyer publication. Likewise, from 2014 to 2018 Mr. Getson was similarly recognized by The National Trial Lawyers Association “Top Lawyer” publication. Mr. Getson will be recognized in the 2018 edition of Pennsylvania’s Best Lawyers published in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Central Penn Business Journal, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and the Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Getson is a proud member of the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Philadelphia (PA) and Burlington County (NJ) Bar Associations.
While at Wapner Newman, one of Mr. Getson’s many jury verdicts was published in Volume 26, Issue 4 of the Pennsylvania Jury Verdict Review & Analysis.
Mr. Getson lectured at the 20th annual personal injury potpourri CLE hosted by the Dispute Resolution Institute at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Mr. Getson presented in front of over 500 attorneys on the topic “what can be lawfully obtained from social media; and, how to use it in discovery and at trial.”
