Alan focuses his law practice on significant personal injury cases, wrongful death, and business torts. Prior to co-founding Shiver Hamilton, LLC, Alan practiced law for six years with a nationally recognized trial law firm. During that time, Alan helped his clients obtain numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements. Alan has represented individuals and appeared before courts in seven different states. Prior to entering private practice, Alan served as a judicial law clerk to a federal judge in Birmingham, Alabama. Alan decided early on to dedicate his career to representing injured victims of negligence and corporate wrongdoing. After law school and his judicial clerkship, Alan turned down job offers from several major corporate defense law firms to pursue a law practice representing plaintiffs. Alan's practice and experience includes automobile wrecks, product liability, tractor-trailer and log truck cases, commercial vehicle cases, workplace injuries, wrongful death and professional malpractice. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and successfully represented clients in appellate courts within Georgia and in other states. Alan has been recognized as one of the top young lawyers in Georgia and named a Georgia Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine and the Super Lawyers publication in 2009 and 2010. Only 2.5% of the total lawyers in Georgia are selected as a Rising Star. Alan is involved in numerous bar and pro bono legal organizations. He has served for several years as a campaign coordinator raising funds for non-profit legal aid organizations through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Alan is also a member of Buckhead Church, where has served as a community group leader. Alan and his wife, Morgan Henritze Hamilton, live in Atlanta with their two sons, Porter and Jack.
