One of the founding partners of Boyd Powers & Williamson (BPW), Allen is licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma but has represented clients all across the United States. He has argued in both civil and criminal cases, representing both the plaintiff and defense. Currently, he focuses his efforts on civil cases with an emphasis on complex commercial and personal injury/wrongful death litigation.

In founding BPW, Allen and his partners’ goal is to provide a law firm that advocates for its clients using an adaptive approach and the best resources to win favorable outcomes. His experience and that of his colleagues’ cover a wide range of legal services, all strengthened with extensive and varied experience in trial work.

Before founding BPW, Williamson was the First Assistant District Attorney for the 271st Judicial District covering Wise and Jack Counties. While with the DA’s office, Allen gained a reputation as an aggressive prosecutor for the citizens in his district. Since leaving, he’s expanded his reputation as someone who will fight for his clients. In addition to his civil docket, Allen has also handled felony white-collar criminal defense in state and federal court.

Allen is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He was recognized by Thomson Reuters on the Texas Super Lawyers list from 2013 to present and prior to that on the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2011  2013. When he is not in the courtroom, Allen spends time with his wife, Mendee, and their three children at their home in Runaway Bay, Texas. He and his family are active members of Grace Fellowship Church. Allen also serves on the State Bar of Texas Professionalism Committee and has served as the Wise County Republican Chairman from 2008-2018.
