Mr. DiPietro is a criminal defense attorney admitted in New York. He is a past member of the New York State Bar Association, Westchester County Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Investigating Innocence Project. Mr. DiPietro is also a legal analyst, and contributor to the Pace Criminal Justice Center Blog.

In 2021, the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys recognized Mr. DiPietro as New York's Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys Under 40. The National Trial Lawyers also independently recognized Mr. DiPietro for inclusion into its Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers in New York, an honor given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field.
