Ms. Chakraborty is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. Ms. Chakraborty is a highly-trained trial attorney with extensive trial experience. Prior to joining Simon & Simon, P.C., Ms. Chakraborty served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office for nearly four years. During her time, she was assigned to Major Trials where she successfully advocated for victim’s rights in many cases with various charges, including aggravated assault, attempted murder, and robbery. Additionally, she worked as an attorney in the City of Philadelphia’s Child Welfare Unit, working on cases involving child abuse, child dependency, and parental rights matters.

Prior to entering Temple University Beasley School of Law, Ms. Chakraborty worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Merck Pharmaceuticals in Lansdale, Pa, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Dana Farber Cancer Center in affiliation with Harvard Medical School in Boston, where she gained an extensive understanding of human physiology and various drug interactions in the human body.

She received her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College before going on to attend Temple University Beasley School of Law. Ms. Chakraborty was a member of Temple Law’s prestigious national trial team and an executive board member of the Moot Court Honor Society, as well as President of South Asian Law Students Association. During her time on trial team and moot court, she honed her writing and trial advocacy skills, winning various accolades in competitions nationwide.

Ms. Chakraborty is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
