Aoife-Roisin Bourke advocates for victims who suffered physical harm or were killed because of the terrorist-related aircraft crashes of September 11, 2001 and the subsequent response efforts. She focuses her practice on assisting members of the 9/11 community bring forward claims under the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Aoife-Roisin Bourke was born and raised in the Republic of Ireland. She first came to New York in 2014, after earning her Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from the School of law, at the National University of Ireland, Galway. In 2013, she received the NUI Galway President’s Award for her Pro Bono efforts, in her role as Vice Auditor, to the university ran Free Legal Aid Clinic (FLAC). During law school, she gained experience as a Research Intern at the NUI Centre for Disability Law and Policy. Following her graduation, she worked for the School of Law, at the National University of Ireland, Galway as a Labor Law Tutorial Teacher.

Aoife-Roisin joined Marc J. Bern & Partners in 2016, as the firm’s September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Department Manager. After her admittance to the New York State Bar, she has remained at the firm as an Associate Attorney.
