Ben joined Arnold & Itkin in 2016 after working for a nationally-renowned commercial litigation firm in Houston representing businesses in high-dollar disputes. Less than two months after starting, Ben won a jury trial against an experienced insurance defense attorney in Harris County. The verdict, which nearly quadrupled the defendant's pre-trial offer, was a VerdictSearch featured verdict.
Since then, Ben has continued to achieve results for his clients, representing persons injured offshore; on the Mississippi River; in chemical plants, refineries, and other industrial workplaces across the country; and on Texas and Louisiana highways. He has also represented numerous individuals hurt by bad drugs and defective medical devices. No matter the case, Ben works tirelessly to get his clients a result that will compensate them for their injuries and give them a fresh start for the next chapter of their lives.
Before beginning his private practice, Ben spent one year clerking for the Honorable Lee H. Rosenthal in the Southern District of Texas. Judge Rosenthal is widely considered one of the best trial judges in the nation, allowing Ben to learn early on how trial law is practiced. He earned his law degree from University of Texas School of Law, where he was the Chief Articles Editor for the renowned Texas Law Review and graduated in the top 10% of his class.
For his undergraduate degree, Ben attended Boston College, where he was one-half of the top debate team from the moment he set foot on campus. Ben spent two years teaching at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas after graduating, receiving a Work of the Heart Award for his work in the classroom.
Ben loves spending time with his wife and their 3 daughters. He is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, an avid (but declining) basketball player, and a native Texan.
