Brent Adams received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wake Forest University in 1969, followed by a Juris Doctor Degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1972. He then served a one-year term as a Research Assistant with the North Carolina State Supreme Court. Brent and Retired Judge Gerald Arnold became very close friends and formed a partnership for the practice of law, opening their first law office in Raleigh, North Carolina in June of 1973.
Adams and Arnold ran a successful law firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. When Judge Arnold was elected to the North Carolina Court of Appeals and took office in December of 1974, Brent Adams continued the practice, eventually changing the name to the Law Offices of Brent Adams & Associates.
Throughout his career, Brent Adams has served the legal community in a number of different capacities. In 1975, Adams served on the Board of the Wake County Bar Association, and was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the association in 1975.
In 1978, Adams was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. After serving the Academy in various capacities, he was elected Vice President of that organization. In 1983, he was chosen to serve as the State Representative to the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the largest trial lawyer organization in the world.
In an effort to share his knowledge and perspectives with his fellow lawyers, Brent Adams has also been a frequent lecturer to a number of different trial lawyer groups. He has spoken at numerous legal seminars sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Wake Forest University, The North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, as well as the prestigious Melvin M. Belli Seminar.
Brent Adams' legal career has always concentrated on trial practice and he has dealt with everything from murder, rape, drugs, and white collar criminal cases to cases involving real estate, business contracts, bankruptcy, and tax matters. He has represented individuals, banks, insurance companies, as well as a number of other large corporations.
After years of experience, Brent realized that the area of law that was closest to his heart was the representation of ordinary, everyday people. People that are suffering from personal injuries as the result of someone else's negligence, as well as the families of victims who have become disabled, gravely ill, or worse, killed.
A dedicated family man himself, Brent Adams knows and understands the importance of family and protecting the rights of our dearest friends and loved ones. Brent now dedicates himself and his law firm to representing the everyday citizen, and will be more than happy to put his knowledge and experience to work for you!
