Britney R. Pennycook joined Corboy & Demetrio in 2019 and practices in all areas of personal injury law. Prior to joining Corboy & Demetrio, Britney worked as an associate attorney at Phillips Law Offices, a plaintiff?s personal injury firm in Chicago where she represented clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability including multidistrict litigation cases involving transvaginal mesh implants, and federal civil rights cases.

Britney worked as head law clerk at Cooney & Conway in Chicago from 2016-2018, where she served as liaison between all law clerks and attorneys, managing their assignments, training new law clerks and supervised work product.

Britney attended law school at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating, cum laude, in 2018.  As a law student, Britney was selected for the Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in Trial Advocacy where she practiced over 400 hours per semester learning advanced trial techniques.  As a Corboy Fellow, Britney won first place in a national trial competition and second place in a regional trial competition.

In addition, Brittney worked in the Loyola Community Law Clinic as a student law clerk from 2017-2018, advocating on behalf of minors as a court-appointed guardian ad litem. She served as Junior Editor of the Children?s Legal Rights Journal from 2016-2017.

Britney also served as captain of Loyola?s Criminal Mock Trial Team from 2016 to 2017.  In 2016, she worked as a legal intern for Sneckenberg Thompson & Brody.

Britney is a 2015 graduate of Indiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy Analysis and Certificate in Business Foundations.
