Since 1990, Celine has practiced predominantly in the area of civil litigation, with specific focus on medical malpractice, wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury since 1994.  While at Lubin &Meyer, P.C.,Celine evaluated and developed hundreds of cases in these areas, many of which resulted in substantial settlements or verdicts for her clients. According to Lawyers Weekly,in 1997, Celine had two of the top ten jury verdicts in the Commonwealth; between 1998 and 2000, she was identified as one of twelve attorneys in the Commonwealth who had more than two million-dollar verdicts or settlements.  Representative cases include:


Jean Mitchell Admx. Hassey v. United States, 141 F.3d 8 (1998) (United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit) Lead counsel in a federal action involving wrongful death based on care rendered at a VA hospital.  Prevailed on bench trial before the Honorable Jack E. Tanner, and was lead author of the appellate and opposition brief.  

Rappa v. Hillel  (Worcester County Superior Court), Counsel in a fourteen person jury case involving loss of a testicle in a twenty year old man due to medical negligence. Awarded and collected $2 million dollar verdict.  

Richer v. Hannah (Worcester Superior Court), Represented family and their fifteen year old daughter in a claim alleging hypoxic injury at birth before a jury of fourteen.  Awarded in excess of $3 million dollars.


Awarded in excess of $100,000 in a case involving an accident caused by a truck injuring a motorcycle operator in Maine.


Volunteer Activities:

Celine has taught classes for both the Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education on topics such as "How to Try Your First Jury Case" and "Civil Trial Advocacy Workshop."   For many years, Celine was Counsel for the Middlesex County 4-H Fair.  Additionally, Celine has been an active participant in the St. David's Episcopal Church, Kennebunk, Maine.
