Chris Regan focuses his practice on high-stakes litigation and jury trials. He has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts in cases of medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, workplace injury, deliberate intent, fraud, and wrongful death. He has also taken a leading role in the firm’s mass tort practice, handling cases with total recoveries well over $50,000,000. Chris also focuses on cases involving litigation misconduct and fraud by defendants and their legal counsel and has obtained default judgments and awards of monetary sanctions against misbehaving litigants.
Chris was the firm’s first lawyer licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and his work has included appellate work in the highest courts of West Virginia, Ohio, and PA. He has successfully handled federal court appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Chris has frequently spoken at seminars and CLEs about a variety of legal topics. He has received the West Virginia Association for Justice’s Member of the Year Award for his work advocating on behalf of ordinary people victimized by corporate misconduct in the legal and political arenas.
Chris remains most proud of a case that did not involve a single dollar, but rather a court order that allowed a leukemia patient to receive a bone marrow transplant that had been denied by her insurance carrier. Though previously given just months to live, the transplant was successful and added years to his client’s life. Chris is a graduate of the Notre Dame Law School where he served on the Law Review and won the moot court competition. He is the 1993 National Champion in Lincoln-Douglas debate. Chris lives in Triadelphia West Virginia with his wife Hilary and their two daughters.
